Walking Through How the Fashion Industry is Helping Our Communities Combat COVID-19
As we are living during a time of greater challenges, COVID-19 takes a toll around the world. With essential workers on the frontline and communities coming together, COVID-19 will be defeated. The Fashion Industry is taking to the production of masks to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Companies are manufacturing hand sanitizer and hydro-alcoholic gel and donating funds to families in need during this time. Businesses such as Brooks Brothers announced it will be using its factories across the country to manufacture both surgical and non-surgical PPE supplies, to the tune of 150,000 masks a day. Following Michael Kors announcing they will donate $1 million to support local relief efforts, alongside NYC hospital systems, the God's Love We Deliver meal donation service, and the CFDA's A Common Thread initiative. At this given time, every company, big or small, is coming together to bring peace and aid to one another. These are trying times and the Fashion Industry is displaying the need for it and the importance to help each other.
